Week 2 of Project Life and I’m still determined to stay focused and on task.
Life got a little crazy this week so I did Week 2 this weekend and will do Week 3 this weekend.
One thing I want to do is try different layouts each week until I find my style this year that’s all me. So you may see several different styles and hey, maybe along the way, you’ll find one you’ll like and try it!!
So my most exciting news is I got a new DSLR Camera!!! YAY! The sad news.. it may take me til the conclusion of Downton Abbey Season 3 to learn to use it! LOL
So if you have tips, advice, classes then I’m all ears and please feel free to leave me links and comments. Its a Nikon D3100.
CHRISTMAS in JANUARY???
We had our Family Christmas a little late this year because my dad got pneumonia, but I loved that I could use a half page to make a special area to show Christmas.

COLORFUL TITLE CARDS
For my Title Card this week, I changed the color to match all of my title bars on my photos… Fun or OCD? not sure… let’s go with FUN! Who knows what color I’ll use for next week!!! I even had my date markers (circle the dates) the same color.

I’m totally in love with my font I used for the journaling content. I love a clean, but happy rounded feel to a font and this one just seems to know me so well!! I wonder why???….mmmmm….
I’m linking up at The Mom Creative – Project Life Tuesday, you can see more amazing layouts for Project life there.

The Title Cards are available in my Shoppe on Etsy if ya’ll are interested. You will get all 12 months and pre-set colors as JPG files or they are fully customizable and you can change colors, journaling font, have a solid background to replace the chevron…its just fun! Oh and you also get the PSD file with instructions.

I really hope ya’ll are trying Project Life or if you’re an old pro, you are hopefully as excited as I am about 2013 and new products and my favorite new Project Life is Seafoam that was designed by one of my favorite bloggers, Elise Blaha Cripe. If you haven’t checked out her blog you should stop by, she has so many goodies!!

Love the cards, I just might have to go shopping for some! I had to laugh because we celebrated Christmas the same weekend you did….because I had pneumonia over the holidays! Guess it was hitting everywhere this year. Great pages, looking forward to seeing more:)
OH i’m so glad you like them. I love it. I can just customize them to my mood or remove the chevron all together and go solid if I want. I wanted them to be easy but fun to use. I’m sorry to hear about the pneumonia but thought it was cute that we both celebrated on the same weekend. My parents actually asked if we could do it in January every year..lol.
THanks Heather!
Hugs! Jen
I love the uniform look of these pages. It’s a pretty style. I look forward to seeing what you do for the upcoming year.
Thank you. I love a clean style but am trying to find that balance between embellishments and clean…not sure if its possible but hey I got a whole year to test it out, LOL.
Thanks for coming for a visit.
Hugs!

Those chevron week cards are adorable! Love the bright colors and all your computer journaling!
Aww thank you, you are so sweet. I appreciate you stopping by.

I love your layout. Cool design. You are on the same schedule as I am. I am giving myself a week to work on my layout and posting it the following weekend. I shoot for Sunday but my ultimate deadline is Monday night so I can link up for PL Tues. I have a Nikon D3100 at this very moment. I am actually a Canon user, but my son received this for Xmas so I am learning how to use it too. It is a great camera. So fast and does an excellent job of up close focusing even with the low grade lens that came in the kit. The way I learned how to use my Canon DSLR was by reading the manual. I picked one or two things to work on and would read about them and then once those things because second nature, I would go back to it and learn something new – mostly on an as need basis. Kind of doing that again with this D3100. Put the manual in your camera bag so it is with you at all times. That is my best advice! Have fun with it!
I meant to say I have a Nikon D3100 hanging around my neck at this very moment. I don’t know how that part got left out – brain lapse, apparently!
Oh thank you. that’s encouraging to know I will hopefully be able to figure out some basics on my own. Cool that we are on same schedule. I wanted to stay exactly with but I think one week out isn’t too bad. I like to do on Sat or Sun what I can but Mondays seem to work better for me, plus I have grocery shopping for the week on Sundays, church and family time, so yeah, i’m a monday Pl’er too! heehee!
Thanks for stopping by!! Hugs! Jen
Great layout. Love that blue. Really like how you used your title page to some up the whole week too.
I’m all over the place in my layouts, I’m going to try and be a little more uniform this year, but we’ll see how long that lasts.
Love this! I am trying PL for the 1st time this year and am getting inspiration from so many different places. Love these journaling cards! Have fun learning to play with your new camera!
